Aradhane of Sri Gopala Dasa is celebrated at Uthanoor,Mosara Kallu village on 16/1/2012.

Life of Sri Bhaganna :

Period:1722 to 1762

Bhaganna lived along with his three brothers with his mother Venkamma, since his father had expired exposing them to great difficulties. An accounts officer of a neighbouring village arranged for the thread ceremony of the children free of cost and the priest who conducted the function emphasised the power of gayatri.

Bhaganna took the adivce to the heart and formally took permisssion from greatest god for a person viz.his mother started to sincerely chant the greatest mantra gayatri and by the repeated chanting and purascharanah of the sacred hymn for a period of two years under a vata vraksha(banyan tree)Bhaganna was endowed with the gift of telling the bhoota, vartamanah and bhavishya of a person(the past, present and future). Fame, name, glory and riches began to pour upon Bhagannaa who was languishing in penury previously. Even the Gadwal king came to him and got prediction from him and gifted with him with lot of wealth.

Bhaganna to become Gopala Dasaru:

A dramatic change took place in his life when bhaganna happened to go to see thimanna at adoni (thimannan was a minister at the court of baslad jung, nawab of adoni and a good friend of bhaganna) . At that time Sri Vijayadaasaru had camped there and Bhaganna was captivated by the great saint and Bhaganna left the practice of foretelling and fell at the Lotus feet of the dasaru and requested him to kindly initiate into daasa koota which the latter did so in the manga rayara devastana at adoni and gave him the ankhita name of Gopala vittala and henceforth He was known as Sri Gopala Dasaru.

Gopala dasa was a great Haridasa, who gave 40 years of his life to Sri Jagannatha Dasa, as per orders of Sri Vijayadasa. He has composed thousands of Suladhis,Ugabhogas. His dasarapadha extols the Supremacy of Lord Sri Hari strongly and proved Sri Madhva siddhanta to such a great extent. Its commonly believed that Sri Gopala Dasaru is an amsha of Sri Ganesha.

Some of starting lines of his Songs:

Pushya Bahula Samptami(15/1/2012) is the aradhane of hero of this article(as well as hero of Sri Madhva philosophy) Sri Narahari Tirtha Sripadangalavaru. His holiness was the Second direct disciple of Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya.Poorvasharama Name of our holiness was Shyama Shastry.

Orders of Sri Madhvacharyaru:

As per orders of Sri Madhvacharyaru,Sri Narahari Tirtha went to the Kingdom of Kalinga to get the idols of Sri Moola Ramachandra Murthy along with Sri Sita devi which was supposed to be in the treasury of the state.Hence our saint reached Kalinga and was looking for right chance to procure the Idols from the King, and prayed Lord to bless.Incidently, the Kalinga ruler was died and court of ministers wanted to choose an able person to take up the post as regent. They sent an elephant to choose the right choice. As a result, his holiness was selected for that post since that elephant had garlanded him.

Important service to his Guru

His holiness was Minister of Kalinga for 12 years( This fact is recorded in the inscriptions found in Simachala Sri Narasimha temple). After 12 years, when Prince came to right age our holiness expressed about his depart from the post. The King appreciated the service of this great saint and asked him what he needed from his kingdom. Our Saint asked him to give the precious Idols from his kingdom and the King readily granted the same. Thus our holiness returned the Idols to our Acharya Sri Madhva. This instance has been recorded in Narahariyatistotra. His precious job of handing over Sri Moola Ramachandra Murthy and Sri Sita devi to our Acharya Madhva, which he obtained from King cant be easily forgotten by anybody,as this is a great service to his Gurugalu. We have to note that Acharya Madhva is not only the Guru to Sri Narahari tirtha but also to the entire Jagath(as Vedas proves he as Jeevothama).

Mantralaya Mahaprabhu rightly says the same in his work called “Pratah Sankalpa Gadyam”.Our beautiful saint Sri Raghavendra Swamigalu mentions Sri Vayu as “Anantha jeevaniyamaka“-which means Sri Madhva(Vayu) is the controller of all Jeevas, without his grace no one can survive.

Works of Sri Narahari Tirtha:

His holiness has written nearly 10 works of which only few are published.

Bhava prakashika-Commentary on Acharya Madhva’s Gita Bhasya .

Tika on YamakaBharata .

Commentaries on the Ten Prakaranas .

Initiator of Haridasa kuta:

The initiator of Haridasa kuta is none other than our Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya.History says he had written many songs in Kannada but there is no proof available today. But we can very well see his style in the lyrics in one of his works called Dvadasa Stotra, which is read in almost all of the Vaishnavaites houses even today. His shishya Sri Narahari Tirtha is of no exception. His holiness wrote many beautiful songs in Kannada and spread Haridasara sahitya to such a great extent, with mudrika as “Narahari”.Some of his songs start with

Entu Marulade Nanentu

Brinadavani Tulasi

Tilako Ninnolage Nine

As his period of stay in this punya Karma bhoomi was nearing to end,our all knowing great saint Sri Narahari Tirtha mahaprabhu decided to enter his brindhavana at Chakra Teertha,Hampi in the banks of the river Tungabhadra.

Discalimer:With my very little knowledge I have posted this write up on his holiness.I sincerely pray Sri Sri Narahari Tirtha antharkatha Sri Madhvacharya antharkatha Sri Ramachandra Murthy to please forgive mistakes,if found in this article.

Poorvasharama Name:Sri Ramachandra

Sri Sri Raghottama Tirtha(1537-1595) was the 13th Pontiff of Sri Uttaradi Mutt. He had added flavour to Sri Madhva shastra by composing five bhavabhodas etc.The five Bhava Bodhas are:1. Brihadaranya Bhavabhoda 2. Nyaya Vivarana Bhavabhoda 3. Gitabhashya Bhavabhoda (Prameya Dipika Bhavabhoda)4. Vishnutatvanirnaya Bhavabhoda 5. Tattvaprakashika Bhavabhoda.

It is said that, whenever Sri Sri Raghootama Tirtha writes bhavabodha(works),he verifies the same with Sri Hanumantha.Sri Vayu devaru happily recognizes his works(by nodding his head).Since Vayu devaru stood sakshi for his works,Vayu devaru is called as ‘Grantha Sakshi Anjaneya’.This devasthana is still present at Srirangam,Tamilnadu.

By composing these golden works he was able to bring out the hidden meaning of the works of Sri Madhaachaaryaruand Sri Teekaakridpaadaru.

Sri Sri Ragootama Tirtha was a great Vairagyasali.Rotti Venkanna(Cook)became a great Scholar(Rotti Venkanachar) in a second, when our Srigalu kept Mantrakshate on his head.He also cured a dumb person to speak, in a second with his powerful mantrakshate. Likewise,he has been performing dozens of miracles every day. His karuna is like a ocean.Let the holy dust which comes from his holy feet, protect us!

He is also said to be present alive inside his brindhavana(in the standing position) and does Tapas for next 1000 years. In simple words, he is also a kalpavruksha/kamadhenu(like our dear Mantralaya mahaprabhu),who removes sorrows of his devotees and protects them.

The Moola Brindavana of Sri Sri Raghottama Tirtha is located at Manampoondi near Tirukoilur. His holiness continues to bless His devotees who come to do seva to Him,from inside his Brindavana.

Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu:-

Period: 1755-1770

Ashrama Gurugalu: Sri Raguhnatha Tirtha alias Sesachandrikacarya

Ashrama Shishyaru:Sri Srinatha Tirtha

Amsha:Galava Rishi

Birth place:Gauribidanur

Moola brindhavana:Kumbakonam

Kumbakonam is known as the “temple town”.When we think of Kumbakonam, one thing which comes to heart immediately is the presence of one of the greatest Madhva saints, Sri Sri Vijayindra Tirtha Swamiji. His holiness is like divine cow Kamadhenu. His holiness is like divine Kalpavrksha. For such a great saint my sastanga namaskara is submitted. It is also famous for our great saint Sri Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Swamiji, who continues to bless all of us in big street,Kumbakonam.

Works of Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu:

Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu have written three important works namely Rig Bhasya Tika,Sutradipika,Bhasya-Dipika.Sutradipika is short Vrtti in 1630 granthas. His magnum opus is considered to be “Bhashya Dipika”,which is his great work running over 19150 granthas. It is the direct commentary on Brahma Sutra Bhashya of Jagadguru Sri Madhvacharya

Its said that his holiness wrote his magnum opus work “Bhashya Dipika” at Bhavani,Erode where he built stone mutt later and spent most of his years.

Importance of Bhakthi:

Sri Prahladha in Srimadh Bhagavatha(Sapthama skandha) clearly says that, only bhakthi is way to please Lord Sri Narasimha(Sri Visnu). As we know, because of prayers of Sri Prahladha antharkatha Sri Vayu, Lord Sri Narasimha immediately appeared before his sincere devotee and saved him from troubles.

We have another similar instance for proving how bhakthi is great and important to fetch Lord Sri Hari’s grace.Once a scholar by the name Gangadhara approached Sri Vijayindra Swami and called for debate. The debate started and as usual Sri Vijayindra Swamin won over that very easily. Sri Swamiji with his aproksha gyana knew that Gangadhara had brought poison to kill Swamiji.Sri Swamiji immediately asked Gangadhara to give the same to him.Our all knowing Swamiji drank the same and his body became full of dark. His holiness at that time started to compose “Sri Narasimha Astakam” and recited with Bhakthi.Within sometime, our Swamiji regained his original position with more brightness than before.Everyone present there wanted to know the exact reason for this brightness.Sri Swamiji showed a Narasimha vigraha which was kept for Puja.To all their surprise, the neck of Lord Sri Narasimha vigraha became dark blue in colour).Inner Meaning, Lord has drunk the poison and saved our Swamiji(his devotee) for trouble. We can see this idol even today in the Mutt premises.

Our brugu munigalu great Sri Vijayadasa sings beautifully in Narasimha Suladi that,”O lord with Lion face-Narasimha Swamin, the one who is filled with auspicious qualities, please protect those who surrender themselves by submitting their prayers with sincere bhakthi“

Coming back to the real incident of Sri Jagannatha Tirtha’s life.Due to his holiness bhakthi towards Lord, Sri Narasimha Swamy appeared and saved him from Danger, when a group of daityas were trying to attack him. This shows the greatness and bhakthi of his holiness. We can find reference about this incident in his magnum opus work.

Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu-an amsha of Galava Rishigalu

His holiness is an amsha of Galava Rishigalu. When we go to the history of great Galava Rishigalu. Its said he had 360 woman children and deeply worried as his duty was to make all the 360 women to get married to good partner’s.Hence he prayed Lord and finally Lord with his Varaha roopa appeared before Galava Rishigalu and promised that he would marry each of his daughter everyday throughout the year i.,e Nithyakalyana. This was happened at the premises of Sri Nithyakalyanaperumal Temple,Thiruvidanthai,Chennai. This is must visit place for all Vaishnavaas.Lord Sri Varaha blesses and washes away our problems, esp for those whose marriage is getting delayed for some reasons.

When the devotees of Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu came to know that his holiness had the amsha of Galava Rishigalu, all knowing saint immediately attained the brindhavana at Kumbakonam,Tamilnadu.

Location of Sri Jagannatha Tirtha Mahaprabhu Moola brindhavana:

His holiness moola brindhavana is located at Sri Vyasaraja Mutt,Big street,Kumbakonam,Along with his holiness there are other two Moola brindhavana of great saints of Sri Vyasaraja Math. They are i)Sri Vidyanandha Tirtha and ii) Sri Vidyapathi Tirtha

Charama Sloka:

There is no vrundavana for him. But there is one Jitamitra Gadde, in a Gonada Tree (Gum tree) 30-32 kms from Raichur Krishna-Bheema River basin, Shivapura, Shahapur Taluk in Gulbarga District. It is the place where he was last seen and disappeared. It is believed that he is still there in Jnaana Roopa in the tree. That is why this place has been maintained as a monument.

Ananthappa, and his childhood -

Ananthappa lost his father at a very early age. He had a elder sister, who also had lost her husband at her young age itself. Even though she was young lady, she was expert in land management. She herself carried the entire responsibility of the family. At his age of 8, he got upanayana.

Assisting his sister in the fields -

Anantappa after getting upanayana, used to do sandhya vandana, and all other related pooja. Then he used to go to the fields alongwith his sister, was assisting his sister in all her land related works, plouging the fields, grazing the animals, etc. He used to wear Yagnopaveetha only during Sandhyavandhane and during Bhojana. During other occasins, he used to hang to a shelf in his house.

Meeting with Vibudendra Tirtharu - At the same time, Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu, was searching for his shishya whom he can give sanyasashrama. Once when he was passing, he saw Anantappa. He was attracted by the boy. Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu seeing the boy ploughing in the fields, asked him where is his Yagnopaveetha?. The Boy told that he has hanged it in his house. Then Vibudendra Tirtharu appraised him the importance of Yagnopaveetha, and taught him as to how to do proper sandhyavandane, pooja, etc. He visited his house at Agnihaalu, spent some days in his house, did the Ramachandra Devara pooja at his house itself for several days. Daily he used to give discourses on various paramathma and vayu devara tattva to Ananthappa.

Narasimha saligrama given to Anantappa –

After staying in his house, for several days, Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu, was very pleased with Ananthappa, and gave him narasimha Saligrama which he was daily worshipping and instructed him ” Do daily snaana, ahnika, do the abhisheka to this Saligrama unfailingly, offer Gandha-akshate, and do the naivedya”. Vibudendra Tirtharu knew that this Anantappa is none other than Rudramsha sambootha and Narasimha devaru is the upasya moorthy for Rudradevaru. That is why he gave that saligrama to Anantappa.

Nitya pooja & Naivedya by Anantappa –

After Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu gave him the Narasimha saligrama, Anantappa was thrilled. He used to do as per the instructions of Vibudendra Tirtharu, by taking bath early in the morning, he was doing pooja, alankara, etc. He had prepared naivedya for Narasimha Devaru. One day he wanted to do the samarpana of naivedya directly to the mouth of Narasimha Saligrama. He had thought the saligrama will take the naivedya directly, so he offered naivedya to the saligrama, in vain. Then he told Narasimha devaru, that if he is not opening his mouth and accepting the naivedya, he will hit himself with the saligrama. He started hitting his head with the saligrama, then Saligrama’s mouth opened. Ananthappa fed the food which he had kept for naivedya and Narasimha devaru ate it. Like this daily, he used to offer food for Narasimha Devaru, which used to accept the naivedya. And only after Srihari in his Narasimha roopa accept the food, Anantappa and his sister used to eat the food. Years went on like this.

Vibudendra Tirtha’s return –

Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu who had gone to North India visit to defeat some advaitha vidwaans there, returned to Shivapura. Anantappa who came to know about this went immediately to see Vibudendra Tirtharu and appraised him of the entire episode wherein, he was daily offering Naivedya of Rice to the narasimha saligrama’s mouth and the same is being accepted by the Srihari. Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu was very happy at this and was surprised.

Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu wanted to see Sri Narasimha devaru eating the food directly. Anantappa tried to feed the saligrama, but it was not opening its mouth at all on this day. Ananthappa thought that he has told a lie to his Gurugalu Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu as the Saligrama was not opening its mouth, so he wanted to end his life, by hitting his head with a sharp stone. Immediately the saligrama’s mouth opened and accepted his food in front of Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu himself.

Sanyasa to Anantappa -

On seeing the Narasimha Devaru eating directly from the hands of Anantappa, Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu was very happy that he got a great shishya, and he thought of giving ashrama to him only. Anantappa who readily accepted his invitation, was very happy. Sri Vibudendra Tirtharu gave the sanyasashrama and the entire samstana box to Anantappa and named him as “Jitamitra Tirtha”. He entered Vrundavana at Tirunelveli. In this way, Jitamitra Tirtharu became the pontiff of Sri Vibudendra Tirtha Mutt.

Some of the miracles by Jitamitra Tirtharu :

Gujjala Village - It is about 1 km from Krishna Railway station - Sri Jitamitraru had done ‘nagabandhana’ with his yogic and mantric power had built a structure on the upper part of the gate to the village. If a cow is affected by a disease called ‘kundu’, is made to encircle that katte (structure built by Jitamitraru), the cow’s disease will be disappearing very quickly even without use of any medicines. Even today many villagers are taking their cows to that place and getting their cow cured from its disease. The Village was named as Gurujaala (Guru means – Jitamitraru and Jaala means mantrik shakti of gurugalu). The same place is now called as Gurjaala or Gujjala.

Gonada Tree - Many people are getting relieved of their diseases by just by doing seva to the Gonada Tree (Gum Tree) at Jitamita sannidhana.

Jangama darshana – Every day, a jangama used to come to listen to the paata by Jitamitraru. Sri Jitamitraru used to wait till that Jangama came and sit in front of him before he could start his paata to his disciples. It is believed that the jangama (Rudradevaru) was coming just to hear the pravachana of Srimadacharya (In Jitamitraru, while doing paata, Srimadacharya’s sannidhana was there).

Rudramsha of Jitamitraru - Once Sri Susheelendra Tirtharu had visited Jitamitra Gadde. Sri Susheelendra Tirtharu did the moola ramadevara pooja just opposite to the Gondal Tree, where there is the sannidhana of Jitamitraru is there. During the pooja, he saw a jangama wearing Vibuthi and rudrakshi sara. The same evening Susheelendraru visited Sangameshwara temple in the village, where the same Jangama, whom he had seen in themorning came and entered the Garbhagudi and disappeared. Then he came back to near Gondal Tree, there he saw the same Jangama who came near the Gondal Tree and disappeared. After witnessing all this, he declared that Jitamitraru is none other than Rudramsha sambhootha.

Darshana to Suyamindraru - In 1945 Sri Suyameendra Tirtharu visited the Gondal Tree, who did the pooja of moolarama and gave the hastodaka to Jitamitra Tirtharu and did sastanga namaskara. Before he could get up, a big garland fell on his neck. When he saw the tree, he saw a jnaanayogi meditating in the tree.

Anugraha to Kudluru Krishnacharya - Krishnacharya, was an illiterate came to Gondal Tree 125 years back and did the seva for seven days. On the seventh day, he got a dream wherein Jitamitraru came and blessed him, gave him upadesha and wrote Bijakshara on his tongue. The previous day he was an illiterate, the next day he wrote Jitamitra Stotra with 27 verses, wherein he has narrated the Rudramsha of Jitamitraru. This is with the Anugraha of Jitamitraru. Kadluru Krishnacharya’s Shri Jitamitra gurustotra is known to grant the desires for those who recite it with devotion even today.

Disappearance of Sri Jitamitraru - It so happened in 1493 Margashira Bahula Amavasye that he was sitting under the same tree meditating . There itself he disappeared. Subsequently when the devotees were searching for the swamiji they heard that he had disappeared and they need not vrundavana for him and that his sannidhana will be there very much in the tree. As such, the same tree is being worshipped by many even today.

This article will give information about the history of Sri Hanumantha idols which is located at Kallakurichi. I had chance to visit two different Hanuman temples at Kallakurichi.

First I visited the temple which was installed nearly 200 years back and its located just opposite to Kallakurichi Bus Stand. This temple is located on the main road so many devotees get chance to have dharsan of this Pranadevaru everyday. This Prana devaru is considered to be very powerful and blesses thousands of his devotees everyday.

And another one was installed by great Saint Sri Vyasatirtha almost 500 years back on the banks of the river Gomaki.Kallakurichi Sri Hanumantha devaru was one of his holiness 732 idols pratista. To get the complete list click here

There is a Moola brindhavana(outside the temple premises near the river bank) of great Madhva saint who was doing pooja to Vyasarajaru pratistha hanumantha for several years. Its said even now that this saint comes in form of Snake and visits prana devaru temple frequently. There are stones with Lipi outside this brindhavana and I am in research of finding out the history of this brindhavana!

About Sri Sri Vyasa Tîrtharu: His holiness is considered to be the third avatar of Shankukarna(i.e, before Mantralaya mahaprabhu Sri Raghavendra Theertharu). Sri Vyasaraja Teertharu stayed at bhoolaka vaikuntam(Tirumala) for 12 years and did seva to the Lord and graciously handed over the the same to the archaka and left the place. Before leaving the holy precincts he had donated the Shesha Vahana which we see during the Brahmotsava every year.

Sri Vyasaraja was the favoured and respected Rajaguru of four emperors of historical Vijayanagar empire. Sri Vyasaraja was also the guru of the likes of Kanakadasa and Purandaradasa. Over five hundred years ago Sri Vyasaraja consecrated 732 idols of Hanuman throughout our bharatha desha. Sri Sripadarajaru(Druva amshavada) was his Vidyaguru of Sri Vyasaraya Theertharu and Sri Vijayendra theertharu were his beautiful shishya.

Introduction to Srimad AkshobyathirtharaP. D ( (Malakheda) (1350-1365)

Shri Akshobhya Teertha is one of the famous saints who took sanyasa directly from Shri Madhvacharya. His name before he became the disciple of Sri Madhvacharya was Govinda Shastri. He is supposed to belong to the northern karnataka region. With the tours of Shri Madhvacharya, the fame of Shri Madhvacharya spread to all corners of the country. Sri Govinda Shastri listened about the erudition, works and the disciples of Shri Madhvacharya and went to Udupi. He was a follower of a non-Vaishnava (‘advaitin’) line before meeting and surrendering to Shri Madhvacharya.

Shri Akshobhya Teertharu was born in 1159 Sakabja era (1238 AD) and was the last of Madhva’s direct disciples to sit on the Vedanta Pitha. He did so from 1350 AD -1365 AD. After initiating Akshobhya Teertharu into sanyasa Shri Madhvacharya gave him the Deity of Aja-Vithal. (Krsna standing with His hands on His hips, accompanied by Shri Devi and Bhudevi, though some say this is Krsna with Rukmini and Satyabhama).

(Page103-‘Guru Namana’- Editor SuLaadhi Kuppe Rao, Sri Varadhendra Sahithya Mandali, Lingasugur) .The boy, then he was about 30 years old was impressed with the teachings of Sriman Madhwar. He later became his disciple and took ashram as Sri AksHoBhya Thirtha in 1312 -

He won in the debate against VidyaraNya of Vijayanagar. An able saint in the Nivarana of “Bramhahatya Dosha” is works “Vedasara” is famous. One loving glance, a gesture, a touch, and a smile was enough to dissolve the ego and bring a lasting ransformation in the life the warrior.

He entered Brindavanam on 4-12-1365 at Malakheda on the banks of the river the Kaagini, after handing over to his disciple Sri Jayatheertharu.>
(Following text: Courtesy from: Dr Gururajan M. President, Sri Madhwacharya Seva Sangha, Chennai-78)

The junior most direct disciple of the Acharya. One should understand that only Rudra, Garuda or the Sesha nama individuals could alone become the direct disciples of the Acharya. Needless to say that he is the amsha of Rudra.
His winning over Vidyaranya at Mulubagal in the presence of Sri Vedanta Desikar was an historical event. He inducted Sri Sri Jayatheertha into monastic order. He founded two lineages whch exist at Kudali Aksobhya Mutt.

He gifted Sri VaikunTa Rama idol to this Mutt. The other Mutt is the Bagalur Mutt. The Swamiji gifted Sri Trinethra Narasimha idol. He entered the Brindhavana at Malkhed on the banks of the river Kagini.

A great shishya is found -Sri Narahari

Akshobhya Tirtharu was searching for a shishya who can take over the Madhwa Peeta. Once he went to Pandarapura and ask for a uttaradhikari. One day in his dream, he asked Panduranga Vittala to show his uttaradhikari, there Panduranga showed him to ask Srimadacharyaru. Then he went to Srimadacharyaru, who advised him to sit for Japa near the river, one handsome horse rider will come and he will drink water in the river by sitting on the horse itself and that he will be his uttaradhikari. It was in his dream.

Next day, he was sitting for Japa near the river, there he saw an young boy came alongwith his friends. He was so thirsty that he entered the river riding on the horse itself, and bending drunk the water sitting on the horse like an animal. Akshobhya Tirtharu on seeing him told “”किं पशु: पूर्वधे:”- “Were you an animal in your previous birth”. All of a sudden the horse rider turned and saw the yathigalu who was sitting near the river. He remembered everything about his poorvashrama wherein he had listened to Srimadacharya’s paata pravachana when he was a bullock. He went straight to Akshobhya Tirtharu and asked him to take him as a shishya. He also realized that the yathigalu Sri Akshobhya Tirtharu was none other than his own uncle, who had assisted him in his initial paata, sandhyavandana. Akshobhya Tirtharu was also happy that it was his own nephew (in his poorvashrama) and was happy and gave him ashrama. Jayatirtharu went to write several teekaas for Srimadacharya’s work.
